Sansui AU-317 I bought the last one at a reasonable price and I want to give it (him? her?) a second life! It is working correctly, maybe a slight imbalance between the 2 channels. This forum is such a fantastic source of information and lesson learnt. thanks a lot to @Karl vd Berg for your great past thread, you inspired me!

The AU317 is a capable and respected 50 WPC mid range amp. It was produced 1978-1980 when Sansui was at the height of its engineering game. It's a clean, precise and realistic amp. I run mine with a pair of 6 ohm Klipsch KG4 speakers rated at 120 WPC. They work well together with a Technics table.

The AU-317 was introduced in 1977 and featured crisp style that has outlasted many Sansui devices before it, as well as those that came after it. It has a purposeful, almost military design thanks to its black steel casework, matt black aluminium fascia, and smooth switchgear. Rack mounting handles were uncommon, but they offer visual interest.

Mar 21, 2013 #1 I was at the pawn shops today and found a working Sansui AU 317. They could not find a price, so they sold it to me for $8.49. Yes, eight dollars and forty-nine cents. Ok, now that I am done bragging about my dumb luck, I will get to my question. I fired the amp up, it works fine.
